I like the key phrase ere: "If I pay attention carefully enough." I can definitely resonate with this at times. Mostly in retrospect, going "I wished I had paid attention more to *that*."
Right? I think learning to "pay attention carefully" can become a lifelong pursuit in developing as a skill, and the better you get at it the easier it is to develop more. Often times I feel like I am a perpetual beginner at it.
